Choosing and using a fire extinguisher

A few weeks back I shared some of the lessons we learned in the aftermath of a serious but thankfully not tragic house fire. Chief among them is that preparedness can go a long way toward protecting property and -- most important -- lives. Having a fire escape plan -- and practicing it -- is vital.
